Blue Key quick answer

Collect the Red Key first. Then leave Subcity 03 and head northeast to the elevated Lookout Hut platform. The Blue Key is the purple ground pickup immediately in front of the seated Rusted Golem outside the hut. It is not inside an underground residential area.

The Blue Key has two completion roles: it opens the separate Blue Key Door marker and it counts toward the final red-blue-yellow lair requirement. The key pickup and the door must both be checked for a 100% Kanto sweep.

Exact route from Subcity 03 to the Blue Key

1. After receiving the Red Key, return to the Subcity 03 surface exit and face northeast. Move toward the small lake/riverbank and look for red smoke above the trees; the smoke marks the elevated Lookout Hut side of the route.

2. At the shore, approach the tall metal tower. Use Emma's hair on the first anchor to climb the tower, then use the next hair anchor to cross the wide gap to the upper platform. If you start at Downstream Bridge Area instead, go northwest past the Elite Golem, jump across the ruined buildings, and grapple north to the same platform.

3. Activate the Lookout Hut camp before searching. Stand with the hut entrance behind you and inspect the seated Rusted Golem immediately outside. The Blue Key is the purple pickup on the ground in front of that Golem. Walk over the glow and wait for the Blue Key acquisition card.

Where to use the Blue Key

Fast-travel to River Fork. From the camp, face east and follow the right/east bank for the short surface branch; do not cross back toward Lookout Hut. The Blue Key Door is slightly southeast of the camp at the end of that branch. Set its exact marker before moving so the route indicator remains visible through the trees.

For the lair route, collect Red Key and Blue Key, obtain Tailwater Key from the Tailwater Village cave elite, use Tailwater Key to reach Yellow Key, and return with the three colored keys. Tailwater Key is essential to the sequence even though the lair consumes the red, blue, and yellow set.

Blue Key troubleshooting and 100% check

If the pickup is absent, first confirm that the main story has reached the Kanto key sequence. Then return to Lookout Hut, check the upper and lower approach, and inspect the ground around the Golem rather than searching inside the underground residential areas. Reloading from the activated Lookout Hut camp is safer than repeating the entire region.

For completion, confirm both Blue Key and Blue Key Door in the route checklist. The current verified ledger does not name the door reward, so this page records the route without guessing an item. When a direct capture verifies the reward, it can be added without changing the location instructions.
