Kunai's Malefact companion and the second half of their late-game duo. Kirin applies pressure with tracking projectiles and parryable melee sequences, punishing players who allow it to remain outside the camera while dueling Kunai.

Combat notes

Recommended strategy

Kirin shares the documented Poison weakness, so the Hunter's Sword and Poison ammunition remain useful regardless of which member of the duo is currently targeted. Its missile-like projectile is telegraphed by a red glow and an audio cue, then tracks Emma; sprint or dash across its path rather than rolling too early. Most close attacks can be parried, and the end of a combo gives Emma a brief counterattack window. Keep Kunai visible before committing to that counter, because her sword projectile can overlap Kirin's recovery. Higanbana: Roots can control Kunai while Emma damages Kirin, or restrain Kirin when Kunai has already been pressured. Avoid standing between the two enemies, where separate attacks can arrive from opposite directions. Move around the arena edge, create a shared field of view, apply Poison steadily, and spend long skills only after one opponent is bound or staggered. The same principles apply to the Capital rematch at level 49.
