Shidou

Also known as Male Purifier

A hostile Purifier first labeled Male Purifier in combat and later identified as Shidou. He fights beside Nue in three story encounters, using a katana and disciplined human attack patterns that contrast with Nue's large-area Malefact pressure.

Recommended strategy

Bring Poison ammunition or the Hunter's Sword, but treat positioning as the first priority because Shidou is never encountered alone. Remove Nue before committing to a prolonged duel with Shidou. Kiku: Bloom Strike can knock Shidou down, and following that interruption with Entanglement Overdrive produces a reliable damage window. His grounded sword strings are comparatively readable and can be parried, but the falling strike should be dodged at the last moment before counterattacking or healing. Avoid firing slow ranged attacks at Shidou while he is free to close the distance; save most ammunition for Nue. When both enemies are active, circle the outside of the arena so neither combatant remains behind the camera, and disengage rather than extending a combo when Nue begins a charge. After Nue is defeated, stay at medium distance to invite a clear katana approach, parry the final hit, and punish only the recovery.
