Prepare without assuming an element

Erymanth is the boar-like late-game Nushi in the Capital. No reliable English UI capture or established guide currently confirms a specific weakness, so the Monster Index correctly shows Not yet verified. Use your strongest familiar weapon, upgrade survivability, refill healing and ammunition, and avoid rebuilding around an element that may be unsupported.

The same evidence limit applies to the complete reward list. This guide focuses on movements visible in released gameplay: large forward rushes, body turns, and long recoveries. Choose compact skills that can fit after those actions. A late boss is not the place to learn an unfamiliar weapon solely because an unsourced claim suggests a weakness.

Cross the charge line

Stay far enough away to see the head and tusks before Erymanth commits. When the rush begins, move across the line of travel instead of retreating directly ahead of it. A backward escape keeps Emma aligned with the tusks and may end at the arena boundary. After the Nushi passes, turn the camera first and confirm the recovery before approaching.

Do not follow immediately behind every charge. Erymanth's size can fill the screen and hide its turn. Use ranged neutral damage while reestablishing the angle, then approach the flank only when the head remains pointed away. One short string is enough outside a stagger.

Spend damage on real openings

A completed rush, a long body recovery, or a full stagger creates the reliable damage windows. Move to the side and use a compact skill. Entanglement Overdrive and the longest attacks belong in the full down state, where the boss cannot immediately turn through Emma's animation.

If the camera loses the head, abandon the attack and move away. The primary danger is not low damage per cycle but being unable to read the next enormous movement. Preserve healing and FP into the later pressure rather than exhausting them in a risky opening burst. Neutral, repeatable damage will finish the fight without an invented weakness.

Arena control and recovery

Avoid being pinned against the boundary. Lead Erymanth toward open space by holding middle range, then cross its next charge so the boss ends away from the wall. Heal only when it has traveled to the other side or remains visibly staggered. If an attempt fails to repeated charges, change the direction of your escape rather than adding more offense.

The page will replace Not yet verified only when a reliable weakness or reward capture supports the change. Until then, the honest plan is camera control, lateral evasion, short flank punishes, and resource preservation. New Game Plus numerical scaling remains part of this same record.

A practical learning sequence is to spend one attempt watching the tusks rather than the health bar. Identify how far Erymanth travels, where it turns, and how long the post-rush recovery lasts. On the next attempt, add one short punish after only the clearest rushes. Then add a stagger skill once those windows are consistent. This staged approach is faster than repeatedly committing a full rotation into an unread turn. If the Nushi ends a charge near a wall, do not follow it into the corner; return to the center and make the next approach happen in open ground. Preserve a ranged option for moments when closing would obscure the head.

Because the weakness is unknown, compare builds by reliability rather than a single large damage number. A setup that allows Emma to recover, reposition, and survive a missed read is preferable to one whose longest animation fits only under ideal conditions. Record the cause of each hit—charge alignment, wall position, camera loss, or an overlong punish—and change that behavior on the next attempt. The encounter becomes manageable when those errors are removed one by one.
